What does Permanent Residency (PR) mean?

Permanent Residency is the immigration status of a holder of an Australian permanent visa. There are many different types of permanent visas for Australia.

Is there an age limit to apply for an Australian visa?

This will depend on the visa type. For instance, while there currently is an age limit of 45 years old for visas under the skilled migration program, there is no age limit for family visas and certain sponsorship visas.

What is a bridging visa?

In most cases, bridging visas work as a ‘bridge’ while waiting on a decision for a substantive visa application or appeal. This visa allows applicants to stay in Australia while they are awaiting the outcome of an ongoing migration matter, or to sort out their affairs prior to departing Australia.

How can I check my visa status or details if I do not have a label in my passport?

You can check your visa status and conditions through the Department of Home Affairs’ Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO).

Can I appeal to a visa cancellation or refusal? How can Healy Daloia Migration Services help me with this?

This will depend on your case and circumstances, but the short-answer is it is possible to appeal a visa refusal or cancellation.
